About

Tim Sherstobitoff, Competition Development Certified Coach, with over 10 years of performance focused coaching experience.

Coach Tim Sherstobitoff

I have a lifelong passion for performance sport and helping athletes. I believe the most important part of training, racing, and sport is to have FUN. This is why I continue to have passion and be involved in cycling since 1997.

I believe in a holistic coaching approach – where all aspects of life are considered to have an impact on performance. An athlete’s focus can often get tunnel visioned on the physical training aspect, but the importance of mental performance, nutrition, technique, skill, grit and determination cannot be overlooked. My focus is always on the process and individual improvements, while allowing the race day results and outcome goals to follow.

I work with athletes of all ages and abilities: from recreational athletes and locally focused age-group athletes, all the way up to continental and internationally competitive athletes. I have a strong passion for working with Cadet, Junior and U23 riders, where I have coached 5 athletes to Junior World Championships, 1 athlete to an Elite World Cup medal, 12 Junior National Champions, and 52 Junior National Championship medalists in Track, Road, Mountain Bike, and Cyclocross disciplines.

I strive to create a fun and inspiring atmosphere no matter the discipline, age, or ability level.

No goal is too big or too small to need some help with. I am looking forward to working together.

I really appreciate the coach-athlete relationship that has been built with Tim, we have learned what kind of training I respond best to and when it’s time to dig deeper or instead recognize I need rest. Tim has been on many of my race projects as well over the years and has always offered science-backed knowledge, and personal experience to help myself and the team as we enter new situations and higher competitions.
